We were asked to choose a song and an spirit animal to design a cover for its album using animal print. I also included some digital collage and basic geometric shapes and a soft color palette in order to create a more pop mood than the original cover shows.
It was 2020 and the WHO declared the beginning of a global pandemic. People in supermarkets filled their carts with uncertainty and paper rolls, and I was 40 weeks pregnant. My daughter was born and the world changed forever, not just mine, everyone's.
The following weeks and months were strange and difficult, full of emotions, but being with her (now on the other side of my own skin) made those lockdown days alone the best of my life.

She "me hace bien" (she is good for me), as the song I chose says. That's why, every time I hear Jorge Drexler's ‘Me haces bien’, I think he wrote it for us and for that moment. It is not, perhaps, the typical energetic song that could be chosen for a challenge like #desafioanimalisque, but it is certainly powerful and full of energy and the fact that she now sings along every time I play it warms my heart and makes it even happier.
